A group exhibition organised by The Olive Network to celebrate the opening of The Garden of Peace at Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens.
The Olive Network is a manifestation of the internet we wish we had — one that connects rather than divides. It’s not just a tool; it’s a movement for those who believe in ecological truth, human kindness and equality. A way to amplify the voices of individuals and organisations who care.
The Garden of Peace is a growing international network of Gardens, spanning continents, with Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens becoming the first Garden of Peace in the UK. The olive tree is the heart of the project: an ancient tree that carries the symbols of peace, resilience and rebirth. Each new Garden of Peace adopts the same basic framework of 21 varieties of olive trees from 21 countries and territories of diffusion, whilst remaining embedded in its own landscape and history.
The exhibition is curated by Lisa Wright and features work by 20 artists, all responding to the ideas and ethos of The Olive Network and The Garden of Peace.
Exhibiting artists are: ATOI, Sarah Ball, Nicole Bealing, Gordon Ellis Brown, Adam Dix, Marie Claire Hamon, Jazmin Luna, Hugh Mendes, Melanie Miller, Jamie Mills, Chris Morris, Peter Randall-Page, Tim Shaw, Jesse Leroy Smith, Mark Surridge, Roger Thorp, Shelley Tregoning, Lisa Wright, Rose Wylie, Carlos Zapata.
The Olive View will be presented across both floors of Tremenheere Gallery and will be open Tuesday-Saturday, 11am-4pm (Please note the Gallery will be closed all day on Tues 27 Oct for a private event). Entry to Tremenheere Gallery is FREE.
